Tuesday in Mariupol

Kevan stayed up late Monday night trying to get an internet connection and I went to bed early so I was up before nine that is sleeping in for me. Kevan finally woke up around 10:30 we made coffee and sat by the radiator in our kitchen, those things are so warm. Our kitchen window is on the fourth floor overlooking a street. It is nice to watch the activity of the street. There is a little chicken store, I call it little because it is maybe six feet wide, litteraly the size of double doors and all that is sold is fresh chicken for cooking not live! Everyday stray dogs come and sit infront of this place waiting for customers to give them some of their purchase. The dogs are cute one that I really like is this black Golden Retriever. He makes me think of Rusty only black. I looke for him every morning. Well all the dogs score chicken. This morning was a little different there was a cat. The cat walked up to the place then jumped right through the window...he was in! Don't know what happened to him after that but the owner closed the window. Caticken!!! just kidding Ha Ha

We got out and walked the town. We were out for three hours walking around. We went into an indoor swat meet. We have a friend who would do really well here. We bought a french press and walked some more. The christmas trees are just the tops of pine trees cut off not trees grown for christmas trees. They sell big fireworks to the public. That's all Kevan wants to stock up on. Do you think he will clear customs? We got coffee then went to the orphanage to see our guy. Nice to see him and he is getting over his cold and is warming up more and more. The orphanage is a nice warm place. All the caretakers smile and great you as do the kids that pass by, seams like a good place.

Next or translator picked us up late afternoon and the hussle and bussle started again. Rush off to the notary to sign some papers. Then rushing our translator off to the train. We went back to the apartment and settled in for the evening and made dinner. We made perogies and sausage. The sausage is the best here. Our drink was a Ukrainian beer and that was really good. Followed by dessert, Russian chocolate. Again Kevan stayed up late working on the internet. No go!
